Dear Patriot,
We are in the full swing of confirmation hearings. It is the beginning of the formation of the Trump Team. Pete Hegseth was up first and masterfully confirmed to the world what haranguing hypocrites United States Senators are.
We wish we did not have to say that. We wish the Senate body was teaming with intelligent, disciplined, well-informed, non-partisan, reasonable, wise, humble leaders. Alas, that is not the case.
Hegseth is thought to have done well. We pray that we soon have a real, honest-to-goodness soldier leading our military instead of a defense contractor.
President Trump has nominated a large group of people who come from outside The Swamp. They are strong, capable people who do not approach problems like their predecessors. We are excited to see what they can do to tame our out-of-control government.
Hang on to your teeth as we have many days ahead of us of the yammering, embarrassing Democrat Senators beating up Trump’s nominees.
All nominees need to be confirmed immediately.
1- Republicans are our worst enemy. Despite Trump’s amazing mandate, a hijacking of his nominees is possible from a handful of Republicans.
OR, as Sidney has been advocating for weeks.
If you have a Republican Senator representing you, be sure they know how you feel about their confirmation votes.
A MAGA Mandate
QUOTE: On November 5, the American people delivered President-elect Trump a historic mandate to advance the agenda he championed on the campaign trail. Unfortunately, and unsurprisingly, several Republican senators have already turned the cabinet confirmation process into their own personal vanity project. Even before the process has officially commenced, they have signaled that they may resist confirming, or outright vote against, some of Trump’s nominees. Republicans in that camp would do well to remember—for the good of the country and their own political future—that the electoral mandate was given specifically to President-elect Trump, not the Republican Party as a whole.
Trump far outpaced many Senate Republican candidates on Election Day. He won all five swing states with concurrent Senate races, yet the Republican Senate candidate won in just one of them—Pennsylvania—and by mere thousands of votes despite Trump winning by over 100,000. In the other four swing states—Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan—all four Republican candidates came up short.
Whether a president-elect squeaks out a marginal Electoral College victory while losing the popular vote, achieves a Nixon/Reagan-esque landslide, or winds up somewhere in between as most do, a president has the absolute right, and even obligation, to follow through on as many campaign promises as possible. But for those who believe margins and public perception matter, President-elect Trump’s victory was an undeniable landslide given the current state of the electoral map.
Trump achieved the largest Electoral College victory for a Republican since the 1980s, and he became the first Republican to win the popular vote since George W. Bush in 2004. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris became the first major party nominee to not flip a single county since President Herbert Hoover, a historically unpopular president due to his presiding over the Great Depression.
Despite this clear mandate, a potential hijacking of Trump’s appointments by a minority of Republican senators looms.
The confirmation process was intended to ensure that nominees were professionally qualified for their specific roles. It was never intended to become an exercise in sifting through personal lives to tarnish reputations over matters unrelated to the nominees’ potential future duties.
Though the Republicans now hold a 53-47 Senate majority in the 119th Congress, the effective balance of power for confirming Trump’s appointees is more like 50-50, which is due to opposition from Senators Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and hand-picked Mitt Romney replacement John Curtis. While those three alone are not enough to derail a confirmation, just one of the other 50 Republican senators defecting would essentially put the Republicans in the minority. This insubordinate behavior toward the voters who elected them to implement President-elect Trump’s agenda is even more glaring when considering how Republicans rolled over during Joe Biden’s appointee confirmation process four years ago. Most of Biden’s nominees were comfortably approved—often with Republican support—despite a 50-50 Senate.
Categorically unqualified picks such as Pete Buttigieg and “Rachel” Levine deserved legitimate scrutiny and examination during their confirmation hearings. Yet Buttigieg received votes from 37 Republicans to lead the Department of Transportation in spite of not having prior transportation experience. And Levine garnered Republican support for a crucial health position despite suffering from gender dysphoria.
But the same Republicans who voted for Biden’s appointees are opposing Trump’s while all Democrats in the minority continue to remain in lockstep opposition. Senators like Joni Ernst, Lindsey Graham, and John Cornyn have cloaked their obstruction as mere “due diligence,” “thorough vetting,” or “letting the process play out” rather than saying what they really think—that President Trump has no right to overturn the status quo.
All Trump appointees must remain firm in their commitment to seeing the confirmation process through to a vote. If they ultimately come up short, they will have done a tremendous service to Trump and the American people by forcing RINOs to out themselves. If backroom public pressure campaigns designed to make nominees withdraw before an official vote are successful, it prevents us from knowing for certain who the internal saboteurs are who need to be primaried.
While some have cautioned against primarying long-entrenched Republican senators, there is no tangible risk in doing so. Many RINOs hail from deep red states, meaning that if they survive a primary challenge, they will still defeat their Democratic opponent. But if they lose to a MAGA primary challenger, then a RINO Senate seat becomes a MAGA one. The irony given how self-serving these RINOs are (as evidenced by their disinterest in helping Trump despite their voters overwhelmingly supporting him) is that they could avoid a catastrophic primary altogether if they simply worked to help confirm President-elect Trump’s appointments.
A major reason for the magnitude of Trump’s win was not only his personal appeal as an outsider, but also his mission to replace long entrenched bureaucrats with appointees who are outside of the system and are in touch with the desires of the American people. It is only natural for the insiders to do everything in their power to resist this influx of MAGA-aligned appointees whose presence threatens the status quo.
Being confirmed after a confirmation process headed by the uniparty establishment, Trump’s outsider appointees will emerge more battle-tested and committed to truly advancing the MAGA agenda.
2- It is true that many of Trump’s nominees have weathered the battles the Biden government have waged against them. They are battle hardened. That is one of many reasons that makes them perfect for these positions. They have experienced the worst of government harassment and will not allow that to happen to American citizens again. They need our support and our prayers.
Trump’s incoming ‘canceled’ cabinet has fully faced the censorship regime that silenced America before — now they can flip it the ‘middle finger’
QUOTE: Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen recently expressed what many felt at the re-election of Donald Trump: not triumph so much as relief.
“I hope this last 10 years increasingly is just going to feel like a bad dream,” he told podcast host Joe Rogan. “I can’t believe we tolerated the level of repression … and anger and … emotional incontinence and … cancellation campaigns.”
Much of it was orchestrated or encouraged by our government.
One could say many things about Trump’s cabinet picks. At times, they seem to embody Government by Middle Finger.
But they also, undeniably, represent Government by the Canceled: an assemblage that doesn’t need to be reminded of the administrative state’s ability to coerce the American public by calling in favors from Big Tech or pulling the levers of regulation, audit or investigation. Many have experienced such treatment firsthand.
Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s pick to lead the intelligence community, was briefly placed on a government watch list, she says, for criticizing Kamala Harris.
The Biden White House and surgeon general pressured social media companies to censor Stanford epidemiologist Jay Bhattacharya’s attempts to warn the public that the COVID lockdowns were the biggest policy error in American history; Trump named Bhattacharya to head the National Institutes of Health.
And Elon Musk, appointed to lead a newly created Department of Government Efficiency, knowingly overpaid for Twitter to give Americans a sphere for free speech.
At takeover, Musk immediately released the Twitter Files, revealing a coordinated effort by the Biden administration to censor the speech of Americans whose views it disfavored. The Biden administration repaid Musk by targeting his businesses with unprecedented levels of regulatory harassment.
One wonderful thing about Americans: We despise being bullied by our government. Not even our Anglosphere allies share this aspect of our national character. Yet, over the last decade, for anyone with views departing from progressive orthodoxy, American life has become increasingly suffocating.
Our posts have been censored on social media — or labeled “misinformation” by “fact-checkers” — as mine were, for criticizing Biden administration policy on boys participating in girls’ sports. We got booted from Twitter for opposing gender ideology or expressing skepticism about COVID vaccine safety.
Andreessen told Rogan that he personally knew of 30 tech founders who had been labeled a “politically exposed person” for building cryptocurrency or AI businesses without the administration’s blessing, or for opposing some dogma of the left, and found themselves debanked — kicked out of the banking system.
David Horowitz, a right-wing critic of radical Islam, lost access to credit cards; Mastercard also blocked Horowitz’s donors from donating to his nonprofit using their own cards. Melania and Barron Trump were told that they could not open bank accounts, according to the first lady’s recent memoir.
A troubling aspect of the last decade is how many Americans started silently accepting all this. There were, increasingly, two Americas: one enjoyed by those with approved views; the other, for everyone else.
It was always the left that determined which views appeared on the whitelist and which on the blacklist. Supporting a border wall was definitionally xenophobic until, abruptly, Kamala Harris supported it.
To claim that the vast majority of teen girls who suddenly decided they were “transgender” were instead caught up in a vast social contagion was verboten, until the left decided that its own outlets could concede that much.
“My body, my choice” was a sacred and undeniable maxim, unless you refused the COVID vaccine. Calling the 2016 election “stolen” was fine; claiming the 2020 election was stolen made you an enemy of democracy.
But a country founded on freedom seemed to have lost its sense of fight.
Many of Trump’s appointees are young. Some have never worked in government. Some will end up doing and saying strange — perhaps unacceptably strange — things. Some may turn out to be overwhelmed and fail and get replaced.
The difference is: We’ll know about it.The media will make sure of that. This isn’t a group that has learned to play the inside-the-Beltway, under-the-table game.
At the top of the administrative state, Trump has placed people keenly aware of government’s yen for intimidating its own citizens. That alone may be enough to shake Americans out of our recent complacency over the trampling of our rights and the unfairness that so many of us have been urged to embrace.
Many of our most pressing problems do not require decades of government experience so much as the will to solve them.
3- Speaking of terrible Senators, Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren, (D-MA) (so named because she lied about being an American Indian) solicited donations for victims of the LA fires through a dubious Democrat money laundering operation masquerading as a campaign fundraiser.
Wildfire ActBlue 'Donation' Scandal Explodes, Elizabeth Warren Implicated While Obama Bros Go Berserk
QUOTE: Outrage is exploding over a push by numerous Democrats to get people to donate to wildfire "relief funds" facilitated through ActBlue, the party's scandal-ridden fundraising apparatus.
As RedState reported on Saturday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom made the ill-advised move to go on "Pod Save America," a far-left show run by former Barack Obama staffers, while large parts of Los Angeles County still burned. His attempt to pass the buck and paint himself as an innocent bystander amid a laundry list of government failures was bad enough, but then came the plea for donations.
Within hours, Sen. Elizabeth Warren put up a similar donation link, again directing people to ActBlue. At the top of the donation screen sits her campaign logo.
Why exactly are Democrats trying to get people to donate relief funds through a partisan fundraising operation? Especially since that operation skims off 3.95 percent, and that's assuming every single other dime ends up passing through untouched. To put it lightly, that's hardly a benefit of the doubt ActBlue and these Democrat politicians should be receiving.
Putting aside whether ActBlue is directly profiting from these fundraising efforts, using donations to wildfire victims to manipulate the Super PAC system for partisan gain is absolutely grotesque. Of course, there's no reason to believe ActBlue isn't also taking its cut, given there's been no proof offered that they aren't. Nothing about this scheme makes sense unless you assume the worst, and right now, I see zero reason not to assume the worst.
4- All foreign leaders know who has the power to make or break them. President Trump is already forming an international alliance to combat worldwide communism.
Foreign leaders desperately jockeying for invite to Trump’s inauguration: ‘They’re all going crazy’
QUOTE: A parade of foreign leaders is desperately angling to receive a coveted invite to President-elect Trump’s inauguration later this month.
By custom, foreign leaders don’t attend inaugurations of U.S. presidents, but Trump has thrown that precedent out the window, setting off the scramble after inviting Chinese president Xi Jinping to the Jan. 20 ceremony. Xi has already turned the offer down, with a top emissary expected to attend instead.
But many others are burning up the phone lines to their agents in Washington D.C. — demanding access, sources told The Post.
Trump has also invited leaders close to him politically — and ideologically.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said she had been invited and would try and make it. Argentina’s Javier Milei has been invited and plans to go. El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele — who has turned the nation around by cracking down on gang violence — has also been invited, as has former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
5- Melania Trump is a national treasure. There has never been, nor will be again, a First Lady with the class, grace and beauty of this one. Many on the DTR staff love to observe fashion . She always nails it and looks elegant. We can not wait to see what she dons for the Inauguration and balls.
Watch this great interview about how she will transition back into the White House.
Also, note the comment on the nasty Obama and Michelle administration withholding help to her and her team last time.
