1- We remember being proud and excited about the protesting truckers in Canada a few years ago. They were pushing back on the severe lockdowns and strict enforcement of vaccines. It was a peaceful protest. But Canadian PM Trudeau's government responded with draconian actions to snuff out all opposing voices. The government put the truckers in jail and closed bank accounts. Finally, some good news for freedom in Canada and vindication for the truckers.
Canadian Truckers Score Big Victory Over Trudeau in Federal Court
QUOTE: In a historic decision, Canada's Federal Court on Tuesday ruled the Canadian government's use of the Emergencies Act in 2022 to disperse truckers protesting the government's COVID-19 vaccine mandates was "unreasonable" and violated several articles of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
The truckers, dubbed the "Convoy for Freedom," organized a cross-country protest beginning in January 2022, following a Jan. 15, 2022, order by the Canadian federal government mandating the vaccine for all cross-border U.S. and Canadian truckers.
In his 190-page ruling, Justice Richard G. Mosley said the government's invocation of the Emergencies Act "does not bear the hallmarks of reasonableness — justification, transparency and intelligibility — and was not justified in relation to the relevant factual and legal constraints that were required to be taken into consideration."
The court ruled that invoking the Emergencies Act infringed upon Section 2(b) of the Charter, which protects freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, and Section 8, which pertains to the right to be secured from unreasonable seizure.
Plaintiffs included the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA), the Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF), Canadian Frontline Nurses and five individuals — two of whom "had their bank accounts frozen."
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, who attended the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last week, said the government will appeal the decision.
The bank accounts of 257 Canadians were frozen under the act, The Countersignal reported.
CBC reported that the Canadian government "has long argued the measures it took under the Emergencies Act were targeted, proportional and temporary."
But Canadian writer and blogger Margaret Anna Alice, whose writings have focused on health, politics, mass control and propaganda, with a focus onCOVID-19, told The Defender, "This single act of peaceful noncompliance triggered a cascade effect that dissolved the mental enslavement keeping the populace under the thrall of tyranny.""That is precisely what occurred as freedom convoys began erupting all over the world," Alice said. "And yet, as this peaceful movement rose, so did the government's tyranny."
2- Speaking of Canada, Tucker Carlson has been revealing the depth of despair that has surrounded the country under Marxist Trudeau. The good news is that this news is seeping out.
Freedom Convoy, the Coutts Four, and Liberating Canada
Whatever happened to the truckers who dared to protest Justin Trudeau? Some of them are still in jail, years later. Trucker Gord Magill explains how darkness has descended on Canada.
This week Tucker Carlson gave a speech in Calgary, Canada to a packed crowd of thousands. It is worth a listen.
3- Several on our staff attended high schools and colleges with suddenly "controversial mascots". This story gave us a little joy!
Newly Elected School Board Deals Immediate Blow to 'Cancel Culture' by Reinstating Controversial Logo
QUOTE: A Pennsylvania school board on Thursday voted to restore the Native American warrior head logo that had been part of the district's tradition until it was wiped away in 2021. The Southern York County School District board voted 7-2 to bring back the warrior symbol after intense debate on the issue.
Douglas Brent, a parent whose children are high school students, was among those who spoke in support of restoring the logo.
"Nobody was trying to be demeaning to the local Indian tribes that were here," he said. "I think it's more demeaning to take that away from them. It would be better to reinstate it to show our sense of respect towards that heritage here."All seven board members who voted to restore the warrior image were elected since the decision to ban it. Five were elected in November.
"This vote was the Lexington & Concord moment in the effort to defeat cancel culture," Native American activist and historian Andre Billeaudeuax said.
He said the logo paid homage to the Susquehannock people who had lived in the region for centuries."It took a lot of bravery for people in York County to stand up and fight back against the agenda, like David against Goliath, and the difference they made is incredible," Billeaudeaux said
4- All progress toward lawful elections is good news.
Tennessee Blocks Nearly 500K Felons From Voting in '24
QUOTE: In Tennessee, a recent policy change is impacting nearly 500,000 people, making it more difficult for those with felony convictions to regain their voting rights, Newsweek reported.
A 2023 Tennessee Supreme Court decision was interpreted as requiring felons seeking to restore their voting rights to either obtain a pardon or have their full citizenship rights reinstated, including the right to bear arms.
Previously, individuals with felony convictions in Tennessee could regain their right to vote by settling outstanding debts and obtaining a "certificate of restoration." However, the new interpretation significantly alters this process.
The implementation of these changes has resulted in a drastic reduction in the number of felons regaining their voting rights. Since the policy change, only 1 person out of 60 applicants has had voting rights restored.
Nonetheless, Mark Goins, Tennessee's coordinator of elections, said, "When someone commits a felony in the state of Tennessee, that person forfeits the right to vote in future Tennessee elections. The Legislature provided a path for those who committed a felony and seek to regain the right to vote."
5- We long ago stopped visiting Drudge Report. Lately we have been hitting Citizens Free Press several times a day to get fast headlines. As more and more leftist sites and media fail due to their indoctrination instead of journalism, alternatives are emerging.
Meet The New Drudge, Better Than The Old Drudge
QUOTE: The unmistakable decline of the once mighty Drudge Report into a cesspool of liberal links had led to endless speculation about the reasons. Did Matt Drudge sell the site? Did he get co-opted? Did he just lose interest?
But the demise of Drudge also opened the market to other aggregator sites, at least one of which is a big improvement over the original.
The good news is that Drudge's demise has allowed a number of other aggregator sites to bloom.
Liberty Daily, Discern Report, Whatfinger, Off the Press, Citizen Free Press are all doing what Drudge used to do – highlighting news and views that the corrupt corporate media want to ignore, helping new voices find an audience, and making themselves indispensable.
But we find ourselves increasingly drawn to Citizen Free Press, which has taken Drudge to the next level and is almost entirely a long list of links.
Like the Drudge of old, its operator is something of a mystery. Unlike Drudge and the other aggregator sites, it carries no ads.
Drudge is dead. Long live its replacements.
6- A socialist club is broke. Who would ever had thought that would happen?
The Democratic Socialists of America are Broke, In Debt, and Beginning Mass Layoffs.
QUOTE: Leaders of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are admitting the far-left political organization is broke and running significant deficits — throwing the group's future into question. DSA's National Political Committee members acknowledged the group had seen a "decline in revenue, membership, and overall excitement" in an announcement to the organization's Bread & Roses Caucus. Layoffs are being floated to solve the group's fiscal situation.
While left-leaning political populism might be in decline, populism continues to surge on the American political right — with some caveats. Even some unions allied with Democrats are waking up to the change, with the Teamsters Union having recently sat down with former President Trump to discuss a shared vision.
7- People are yearning to be free around the world.
Globalists in Panic: 'Wake-Up Call' Analysis Details Potential Populist Sweep in '24.
QUOTE: Right-wing nationalist and populist parties throughout Europe are predicted to make fresh gains in upcoming elections, with the authors of a new report for the European Council on Foreign Relations demanding fellow globalists heed their "wake-up call."
The report, reviewed by The National Pulse, combined surveys across all 27 European Union (EU) member states with modeling based on the past performance of national parties. It found that nationalist and populist parties are on track to gain in nine EU countries: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Slovakia. The document also predicts a second- or third-place finish for populist and nationalist parties in another nine EU member states: Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Sweden.
The authors worry that the changes would harm the green agenda, open borders activism, and support for Ukraine.
If the report's predictions come to pass, nearly half of the seats in the European Parliament will be held by parties "outside the 'super grand coalition' of the three centrist groups." This would result in a right-wing populist coalition emerging as the majority for the first time.
The report concludes: "While progressive European leaders cannot, and should not, tell voters what to do, they can build a credible alternative to a sharp right turn in the political mandate given to the next set of EU institutions. From the outset of 2024, they need to tell a convincing story about the necessity of reaching outward in a dangerous world."
8- God's creation is an amazing thing. It has the power to heal.
Astonishing footage shows transformation in key part of the Florida Everglades: 'It's absolutely amazing'
QUOTE: A billion-dollar project in the Florida Everglades has saved the Kissimmee River, which has yet again become a refuge for local wildlife.
Documented by National Geographic, it's an amazing story about the correction of a human-made ecological disaster that started in the 1960s to combat flooding. "[It] demonstrates how quickly ecosystems can recover," Shannon Estenoz, an official with the U.S. Department of the Interior, told National Geographic.
It all started in the middle of the last century when the Army Corps of Engineers straightened the course of the Kissimmee as part of flood control measures, draining the region of water. Before the canal project, the Kissimmee was a winding river of 100 miles where wildlife prospered.
The result was a loss of up to 90% of certain bird species as water drained from the wetlands. Other animals left entirely, National Geographic reported.
Now, 44 miles of the Kissimmee have been saved, along with 20,000 acres of wetlands, where fish, birds, and other species are returning.
9- Wonderful news for the children of America and for the future of the country.
Parental Pursuit of School Choice Is Skyrocketing
QUOTE: It is National School Choice Week, and parental demand for educational options for their children is surging. A January parent survey revealed that 72% of parents "considered new schools for their children last year–a 35% increase over 2022." Sixty-three percent searched for a new school, and 44% chose one.
A few years ago, the phrase "school choice" was not commonly used or understood outside of education reform circles. But today, this has changed: The survey revealed that 50% of parents "talked about school choice with family or friends within the last month."
So why all the buzz about school choice? The disastrous school closures with remote Zoom sessions gave parents a front-row seat in their children's classrooms, which exposed a lack of learning and too much time devoted to non-academic left-wing political indoctrination. That initial eye-opening awakened parents to the misplaced priorities of public schools. As the teachers unions kept public schools closed for three years in some places in order to get inappropriate political demands met — defunding the police, Medicare for All, a moratorium on charter schools — parental dissatisfaction and even outrage grew.
While Democratic lawmakers often seek to block school choice advancements due to their self-serving relationship with the teachers unions who help get them elected, parents on both sides of the aisle are utilizing school choice. For example, in 2023, of the parents who selected new schools for their children, 56% identified as Democrats, whereas 40% identified as Republicans.
Approximately half of parents who searched for a new school did not research their local traditional public schools. They searched for charter schools, private schools, online schools, homeschooling options, magnet schools, and microschools.
10- Little by little we are making progress in turning around the indoctrination factories.
Florida Ed Board Finalizes Rule Banning DEI In State Colleges
QUOTE: Florida's Board of Education approved a series of regulations on Wednesday officially prohibiting state colleges from using taxpayer dollars to fund so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI, initiatives.
Though euphemistically named, DEI is a poisonous left-wing framework that dismisses merit and instead discriminates based on characteristics such as skin color and sex. Individuals who qualify for a certain position on merit but don't meet the discriminating entity's goal of being more "diverse" are often passed over in favor of those who meet institutionally preferred identitarian standards.
The Florida Board of Education's new regulation uses similar language to define DEI and "prohibits [Florida College System] institutions from using state or federal funds to administer programs that categorize individuals based on race or sex for the purpose of differential or preferential treatment." The rule specifically defines "federal funds" as monies allocated to "the institution or a direct support organization for an institution" by Congress, including federal student aid. Meanwhile, "state funds" are classified as those provided to colleges "directly or indirectly" by the Florida Legislature.
11- The House January 6 Committee thought they could get away with deleting all their dubious work. Not so fast!
Republicans recover over 100 files deleted by Jan. 6 committee days before GOP took majority: Report
QUOTE: Forensic investigators hired by a Republican-led committee recovered more than 100 encrypted files that the Democratic-led House Jan. 6 Select Committee deleted days before the GOP took over the House majority, according to a new report released Monday.
House Administration Oversight Subcommittee Chair Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., sent a letter to former Select Committee Chair Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., demanding he provide answers and passwords for the data, which was deleted against House rules, according to Fox News Digital.
The Oversight Subcommittee, which is investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and the former select committee, should have received four terabytes of archived data from the select committee after Republicans entered the majority in January 2023, but it obtained less than three terabytes of data.
The subcommittee hired a digital forensics team to determine what information was not handed over, and the team discovered 117 files that were encrypted and deleted on Jan. 1, 2023, two days before Republicans were sworn into the majority, according to the report.
One recovered file detailed an individual whose testimony was not archived, but "most of the recovered files are password-protected, preventing us from determining what they contain," Loudermilk also said.
12- More evidence of the rejection of the globalist's agenda in Sweden.

Sweden going AGAINST cashless agenda
QUOTE: Sweden is suddenly doing one good thing after another. Recently they scrapped Agenda 2030 goals from government directives and they also scrapped climate taxes on fuel.
Now the new right-wing government is wanting to strengthen the use of physical cash, something that goes against the cashless agenda.
The government is appointing an investigator to come up with ideas to support peoples right to pay with physical cash. This could be because some people simply don't want a cashless society, but also to ensure that payments can be done in emergency and crisis situations.
In other words, the Swedish government is looking at FORCING shops to accept cash. This goes against the whole cashless agenda that we have been seeing lately. This new move from Sweden is very good news.
Because in a cashless society it would become very easy for the government to control what you can and cannot buy. Paired with a digital ID and a digital wallet, we are looking at a dystopian future where dissidents can be banned from participating in society.
Surprisingly, Sweden has suddenly begun to do a lot of things right.
13- We leave you this week with a commentary by Lynn Friess.

It's Almost Morning in America
QUOTE: It might not seem like it right now, but it's almost morning in America again.
Americans of all sides are waking up. Democrats, Independents, and Republicans are uniting around shared concerns.
Big city mothers aiming to rescue their children from failing schools and suburban moms losing their kids to woke educators are both waking up to the broken education system, where administrators get bigger and bigger salaries while kids suffer.
Meanwhile, both "granola" foodies and conservative farmers are becoming aware of the broken food system, where small farmers struggle, and it's impossible to ban chemicals we know harm our kids. Despite citizens trying to effect change, their efforts are in vain against the flood of lobbying dollars.
Tucker Carlson and Bill Maher share deep concerns about a flawed justice system, where due process is diminishing and trust in the FBI and the Department of Justice is waning. Independents from Georgia and liberals from Chicago unite in their dissatisfaction with an immigration system that prioritizes foreigners over Americans.
These diverse groups are seeking an outsider, a problem solver. One candidate can cut through the noise and address these significant issues. President Trump remains untethered to special interests, unswayed by partisan press, and driven by the principle of "America First." His unique position enables collaboration across party lines for the benefit of all Americans.
These unusual alliances offer the greatest opportunity for unity in our nation. Yet, some of my neighbors still say, "I liked what he did in his first term, but I don't agree with his antics."
President Trump's unconventional methods, which yielded success in his first term, are why a diverse group of Americans believe he can once again deliver on the changes they so desperately desire.
My late husband, Foster, often said, "My success in building a billion-dollar business came from harnessing people's strengths and ignoring their weaknesses." President Trump is far from perfect (aren't we all), but tens of millions of Americans feel that nobody is listening to them except Donald Trump. Where conventional politicians left broken promises, President Trump delivered.
Notable accomplishments include an 87% reduction in illegal border crossings where President Trump's wall was built, the replacement of NAFTA with trade deals prioritizing American workers, brokering peace between Israel and Arab-Muslim nations, the bipartisan First Step Act – the pioneering criminal justice reform legislation aiding former inmates in rejoining society.
Unemployment rates for women, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those without a high school diploma all reached the lowest rate in nearly 70 years. And along with the largest tax reform package in history, your gas was around $2 a gallon.
The alternative is a president who has willfully neglected his constitutional duty to protect Americans and secure our borders, turned a blind eye to a reckless Department of Justice, and failed to restore order to our schools and our cities. His focus? Ukraine, benefits for illegal immigrants, and taking away your gas stove.
I'm supporting an agenda that is focused on securing the border, fixing immigration, transforming the educational landscape, and "cleaning house" to restore trust in our government. President Donald Trump can lead that agenda and unite our country around solving big problems.
The fog is breaking, and dawn is coming. The time has come to invest in former President Trump's reelection. I invite you to join me. It's almost morning in America!
