Good News Friday: 05/26/23
May 26, 2023
It is almost impossible to realize the magnitude of the changes we are living with today.
One, the mainstream corporate media is dead; they don't know it yet. This is a major swing of habit for Americans. It was a hard habit to break. Fox News ratings continue to plummet as we turn away from their lying, as is the viewership of most old media. There is a new, vibrant marketplace of ideas out there and it is vast.
Two, as many once-beloved companies are infiltrated by propagandized America and Christian-hating executives, the nation is turning their backs on Budweiser, Target, North Face, Baseball, Disney/ESPN, and FoxNews. This is a silent, non-violent protest happening daily all across America.
Check this out: Target loses NINE billion dollars in one week.
Three, we are returning to one of our most sacred duties: protecting our children and grandchildren.
Hold fast, Patriots. Your strongest votes now are the ones you make with your spending choices, your feet and your TV remote. Stand strong to support American-made and American morals and values. Woke must go broke.
NOTE: On Monday, Memorial Day, we will take the day off to reflect on the sacrifice of so many who fought to protect our country, our Constitution and our way of life.
Remember those in your family who have died serving and think about the long lasting impact on their loss in your lives.
Have a thoughtful weekend. And NO BUD LIGHT! ... NO TARGET!
1- This "organization" was ALWAYS a scam. Nonetheless they did much damage to the country. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
QUOTE: Black Lives Matter's national organization is at risk of going bankrupt after its finances plunged $8.5 million into the red last year - while simultaneously handing multiple staff seven-figure salaries.
Financial disclosures obtained show the perilous state of BLM's Global Network Foundation, which officially emerged in November 2020, as a more formal way of structuring the civil rights movement.
The non-profit group ran an $8.5 million deficit, and its investment accounts fell in value by nearly $10 million in the most recent tax year, financial disclosures show.
The cash flowing into BLM's coffers has dropped dramatically. It was always a scam driven by intimidation, guilt and fear.
Donations plunged by 88 percent between 2021 and 2022, from $77 million to just $9.3 million for the most recent financial year.
2- The Left counts on people of common sense, morality and reason to give up. Don't give up. Keep avoiding these brands. They HATE you.
QUOTE: : Bud Light sales continue to plummet over Mulvaney backlash. The controversy, now nearing its third month, has turned off a broader customer group than just those who characterize themselves as conservatives.
Sales of Bud Light continue to plummet, reflecting ongoing backlash to the brand's decision to hire transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney as a spokesperson.
According to data cited by the beverage industry trade publication Beer Business Daily, sales volumes of Bud Light for the week ending May 13 sank 28.4%, extending a downward trend from the 27.7% decline seen the week before.
3- For over 30 years, since the beginning of Rush Limbaugh in 1988, the left has been trying to get rid of conservative talk radio dominance. They failed every time. This effort to not install AM radio in cars is the latest ploy. At the moment it has been thwarted.
QUOTE: DETROIT — Owners of new Ford vehicles will be able to tune in to AM radio in their cars, trucks and SUVs after all.
CEO Jim Farley wrote in social media postings Tuesday that the company is reversing a decision to scrub the band after speaking with government policy leaders who are concerned about keeping emergency alerts that often are sounded on AM stations.
"We've decided to include it on all 2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles," Farley wrote on Twitter and LinkedIn. "For any owners of Ford's EVs without AM broadcast capability, we'll offer a software update" to restore it, Farley wrote.
The move comes after a bipartisan group of federal lawmakers introduced a bill Wednesday calling on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to require AM in new vehicles at no additional cost.
According to the National Association of Broadcasters and Nielsen data, more than 80 million people in the U.S. listen to AM radio every month.
4- While it is sad to see this beloved and trusted American company slide, it is good news that Americans are awake to woke. We must not encourage, with our money and attention, these companies seeking to destroy our children's innocence.
QUOTE: In 2014, Axios Harris found Disney carried a reputation score of 83 out of 100. The score represents measurements across multiple dimensions such as character, trust, and trajectory. That number has since declined to 70.9.
The company now ranks as the fifth most polarizing brand of the 100.
Axios cites "polarizing political drama" for the precipitous fall. Specifically, the study references Disney's tangling with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over students' LGBTQ+ rights.
Disney's reputation increased to 80.3 from 72.5 among Democrats, while it plunged to 61 from 75 among Republicans. That's a gap of 19.3, 14.9 points higher than the average.
5- It is good news that almost two-thirds of Americans know that the Fake News lies and can not be trusted. The entire corporate media, FOXABCNBCCBSCNNMSNBCPBSNPRNYTWAPO, are dead men walking.
There are now many ways for intelligent, engaged citizens to find the truth, including DTR Newsletters!
QUOTE: A majority of likely U.S. voters – 59 percent – believe the media are 'truly the enemy of the people,' according to a recent survey by Rasmussen Reports.
The majority includes 35 percent who "strongly agree" with the statement and another 24 percent who "somewhat agree."
A whopping 77 percent of Republicans agree with the statement, with 49 percent strongly agreeing. Only 20 percent disagree.
Almost half of Democrats – 44 percent – agree with the statement, with 24 percent strongly agreeing.
6- Slowly we creep back to our fundamental job, protection our most valuable resource and hope for the future.... our children.
QUOTE: Republican Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen signed a bill that bans transgender surgeries on those 18 and younger in the Cornhusker State and bans most abortions at 12 weeks.
The signing makes Nebraska the 18th state to pass laws banning transgender procedures on children and follows a raucous week at the capitol building in Lincoln after several protesters were arrested during the legislature's Friday session.
"Today is a historic day in the State of Nebraska. It is a day where we are standing up and protecting our kids so that they can have a better and brighter future," Pillen said. "LB574 is the most significant win for social conservatives in a generation, and is part of what has been a historic legislative session with senators voting for policies that protect our kids, cut taxes, grow agriculture, and defend our Nebraska values."
The bill, known as the "Let Them Grow Act," passed 33-15 in the state legislature and comes after the failure by one vote of a bill that would have banned abortion at six weeks. The 12-week ban, similar to one that North Carolina Republicans enacted last week, was the first abortion ban passed in the state in 13 years.
Nebraska lawmakers joined other red states, including Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, in banning transgender surgeries for minors, such as mastectomies on girls who identify as boys.
Missouri and Texas have also advanced similar measures that are likely to be signed into law later this year, while North and South Carolina lawmakers are looking at similar proposals.
7- Protecting children from the far left insanity is a world wide effort.
QUOTE: Common sense and science are gradually prevailing.
Last week, the Norwegian Healthcare Investigation Board announced it would be revising its current guidelines regarding so-called " gender -affirming care" for minors because it no longer considers them to be evidence-based. The board also acknowledged that the growing number of teenage girls identifying as male post-puberty remains under-studied.
Under the proposed updated guidelines, the use of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and transition-related surgery would be restricted to research contexts and no longer provided in clinical settings. Norway joins Finland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom in introducing greater safeguarding for children. In the United States, eighteen states thus far have banned affirmative care for individuals under 18.
It's good that more professional organizations are recognizing the experimental nature of this approach in children. An existing body of research shows that most kids with gender dysphoria grow to be comfortable in their bodies upon undergoing puberty and that those wishing to transition suddenly post-puberty may be experiencing a social contagion. These studies have been dismissed because they don't fit the preferred activist narrative.
8- If this can happen in Communist California, then there is hope for all parents seeking damages for what "educators" did to children during Covid-CCP.
QUOTE: With the help of retired U.S. Federal Judge Stephen G. Larson, Bishop Unified School District (BUSD) and a group of Parents who filed claims for damages for violation of their children's civil rights finalized a settlement on April 27, 2023. Not only is the school district required to pay $400,000 because of the harm suffered by the children, BUSD must also provide counseling and tutoring for the students, and training for all BUSD faculty and staff on "public health, response to public health emergencies, informed consent, and bullying/harassment/retaliation issues."
Armed with vital information on Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) and informed consent laws from Health Freedom Defense Fund (HFDF) and its founder, Leslie Manookian, Bishop parents and residents began expressing concerns about BUSD's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic at its August 2021 school board meeting. They urged BUSD to follow Title 21 U.S.C., the federal law for the use of EUA products, such as COVID-19 masks, testing, and vaccines. This law requires voluntary informed consent and the option to accept or refuse EUA products. The Parents also sought protection for students' civil liberties and pleaded with board members to consider the negative outcomes of potentially punitive enforcement of what was merely state health guidance. BUSD instead implemented a medically nonsensical policy of handling school-based exposures, discriminatory COVID-19 testing based on vaccination status, and illegally excluding students from extracurriculars and sports.
BUSD ignored federal informed consent laws and committed many civil rights violations, including discrimination, segregation, bullying, harassment, retaliation and denial of a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). At one school, many healthy students were forced to remain outside in cold winter weather because they did not consent to wearing masks.
Searching for a way to hold BUSD accountable for what was happening to their kids, a parent found one of the many legal rights webinars presented by Tracy L. Henderson, Esq., founder of California Parents Union (CPU) aimed at empowering parents, grandparents, and educators. After watching CPU's webinar on how to file tort claims against the school district, the Parents marched down the path of filing claims.
9- Godspeed, Yulia. And thank God for the volunteer kidney donor.
QUOTE: Yulia Hicks, the North Carolina girl denied a kidney transplant by Duke University surgeons because she was not vaccinated against Covid, will get her new kidney Thursday
Finally, a happy ending.
In December, I wrote about Yulia Hicks, a 14-year-old North Carolina girl denied a lifesaving kidney transplant for the crime of being unvaccinated.
Transplant surgeons at Duke University Hospital told her parents that Yulia could not stay on the transplant list if she did not have a Covid shot, even though she had already had Covid.
The story, which Fox News picked up, led to a wave of publicity - and more than 30 potential donors stepped forward. Fortunately, one was a match.
Now, another North Carolina hospital has stepped up, and Yulia will receive a new kidney from a live donor tomorrow.
Yulia's life has not been easy. She came from Ukraine to the United States in December 2018 and was given up by her first two adoptive families before the Hickses adopted her in 2021. She suffers from Senior Loken Syndrome, a genetic condition that damages her kidneys and eyes. But she remains optimistic, her mother Christine said in an email. The family does not know the identity of the donor but hopes to meet him in the years to come to thank him, Christine said. "We ask for prayers for Yulia and her donor for flawless surgeries and painless recoveries for both."
Meanwhile, the North Carolina legislature is considering "Yulia's Law," which would bar transplant discrimination on the basis of Covid vaccination status. The bill overwhelmingly passed North Carolina's House on May 2 and has passed a first reading in the Senate.
10- Every single step towards removing voter scams, loved by Democrats, is good news.
QUOTE: On Tuesday, the Texas legislature voted to pass HB 1070 and withdrew from Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), the controversial voter roll maintenance system.
Texas will be the 9th state in the past year to leave the ERIC. ERIC is not working. The ERIC system is obsolete, inefficient, and has failed in its purpose. The Democrat party apparatus loves it for some reason.
Attorney Sidney Powell weighed in on this news.
11- A major win over the Deep State at the Supreme Court this week. The Supreme Court voted to reign in the Biden EPA's attempt to redefine "waters of the U.S." This was designed to give the bureaucratic EPA radical power to regulate any water anywhere. This is a big relief for farmers.
QUOTE: The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled 5-4 in favor of an Idaho couple who wanted to build a house near a lake in a decision that makes it more difficult for the Environmental Protection Agency to police water quality.
Justice Samuel Alito wrote the majority opinion that stated that the Clean Water Act only regulates wetlands that have a "continuous surface connection" to larger bodies of water that are regulated. The couple, Chantell and Michael Sackett, do not have such a connection on their property.
