October 06, 2023
Dear Patriots,
We received a request from a supporter this week asking, despite donating to receive all three weekly newsletters, that she wanted to only get Good News Friday.
She wrote that the other newsletters were too unsettling and upsetting.
Boy, do we understand that!
There are many days when we would prefer to stick our fingers in our ears and hum loudly so as to avoid what is happening all around.
We are continually reminded of that line from the classic 70's song, American Pie by Don McLean:
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
We sometimes can't take one more step, our news exhaustion is so great. The song reflects deep despair and delusion over events of the era. The times have not changed for the better.
But, here's the thing. That is the plan of the communist globalist elites. Their goal is to overwhelm us with bad news so that we hide away and are silent.
We will not succumb.
As long as possible, we will continue to read, analyze and share the news regardless of how dark and evil it is. We hope you will continue to support that effort, continue to pray and continue to share.
Of course, we have accommodated our dear supporter who asked for Good News Friday only.
We urge the rest of you to continue to hold fast. Supporting us with a $5/month subscription to the newsletter or a donation is always appreciated, more than words can express.
NOTE: When we made the decision to go with a Paid Subscription Plan, there was NEVER a consideration to deny anyone full access to Good News Friday, despite conventional wisdom saying never give away your most popular product.
.
Now for the good news we managed to glean this week, while holding our nose.
1- It is rare these days to actually burst out in happy cheers when reading a news story. But kicking Pelosi out of her office was a rare sweet moment. We know for a fact that where your office is in the building is VERY, VERY important to members of Congress. Nancy is not amused. It is a little thing but, it made us laugh out loud!

The Whole 'McHenry Kicks Pelosi out of Her Hideaway Office' Story Gets Even More Amusing
QUOTE: We wrote earlier about how one of the first orders of business for speaker pro tempore Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.) in the aftermath of the House's ousting of Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as Speaker was to notify former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that she needed to immediately remove her things and vacate her hideaway office.
Also, according to reports, an email sent from a House Administration Committee aide indicated the room was being redesignated "for speaker office use."
Naturally, the move prompted some wailing from Pelosi, who proclaimed that the decision was "a sharp departure from tradition." It was kind of an ironic statement to make considering, as my colleague Bonchie noted, ousting a House Speaker - which Pelosi's fellow Democrats ultimately supported even after she allegedly told McCarthy prior to him becoming Speaker she would push back against such a move - is quite a departure from tradition as well.
In an update to this story, we're learning that it wasn't McHenry but McCarthy himself who was behind the call to get Pelosi kicked out of her hideaway office, something few on the House side have outside of high-ranking members. Further, the person who will be utilizing that office will be ... McCarthy.
Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), who has also held various leadership positions in the House in the majority and the minority, was reportedly also told to move out of his hideaway office.
2- We celebrate any judge who rules based on the law and not the current fad in politics.
Judge strikes down Wisconsin school district's gender policy
QUOTE: A judge in Waukesha County issued a ruling that sides with parents in the debate over how school districts handle transgenderism in schools.
Judge Michael Maxwell on Tuesday sided with two parents in the Kettle Moraine School District after they sued in 2021 because the district did not tell them that school leaders and teachers were calling their middle school-aged daughter by a different name at school.
"This court has before it what modern society deems a controversial issue – transgenderism involving minors within our schools. Clearly, the law on this issue is still developing across the country and remaining largely unsettled. However, this particular case is not about that broad controversial issue. This particular case is simply whether a school district can supplant a parent's right to control the health care and medical decisions for their children. The well-established case law in that regard is clear – Kettle Moraine cannot," the judge wrote. "The School District abrogated the parental rights of [the parents] on how to medically treat [their child] when the district decided to socially affirm [the child] at school despite [the parents] requesting it does not. Through its policy of disregarding parental wishes on a medical or health related decision and with how fast questioning one's gender can arise, [the parents] are at real risk of being harmed."
Kevin Marine Schools defended the decision to keep gender decisions from parents, saying informing all parents of all children's decisions to change gender could put some students at risk.
The judge said that argument didn't cut it.
"Rather than doing what the voters have elected them to do, the Kettle Moraine School Board abrogated their responsibility to either pass judgment on a policy regarding these serious issues or to affirm the actions of their employee, the superintendent. Instead, the School District has hidden behind claims of no parental right or unfounded Title IX issues rather than give parents in their district what they deserve – clear guidance on how the district intends to handle these controversial issues," the judge wrote.
Luke Berg with the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, one of the law firms that handled the case, said this is the first time a judge has come down on the side of the parents in a case like this one.
"This victory represents a major win for parental rights. The court confirmed that parents, not educators or school faculty, have the right to decide whether a social transition is in their own child's best interests. The decision should be a warning to the many districts across the country with similar policies to exclude parents from gender transitions at school," Berg added.
The parents in the case removed their daughter from school but have two children who remain in the school district.
3- If you have not heard about Arabella don't feel bad. It is a dark secret. Do know that it is an evil Democrat method of funneling money to leftist politicians and causes. We are surprised Arabella was subpoenaed given the DC jurisdiction. We doubt anything major will come of this but you never know! (Divine intervention!)
DC Attorney General Subpoenas Arabella Advisors' Dark Money Network Following Free Beacon Report
QUOTE: The attorney general of the District of Columbia issued subpoenas to the liberal dark money behemoth Arabella Advisors and its largest clients, documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show.
Subpoenas were also issued to Arabella offshoots, including the New Venture Fund, the Sixteen Thirty Fund, and the North Fund. The move comes months after a series of Free Beacon reportsexposed the inner workings of Arabella Advisors, using extensive interviews and documentation to show how Arabella wields centralized control over a multibillion-dollar network of dark money funds.
Issued on Sept. 22, the subpoenas seek information related to the allegations covered in the Free Beacon series, including that the Arabella network's largest client, the New Venture Fund, ran roughshod over charity tax laws in an effort to elect Democrats and influence Republicans to change voting laws before and after the 2020 elections.
The documents and communications related to the D.C. attorney general's subpoenas are sprawling and will likely comprise thousands of pages. Among the documents sought include records that would show whether Arabella Advisors is deriving illegal profits from New Venture Fund and its other dark money funds, which have paid the firm a combined $230 million in management fees since 2006. A spokesman for the D.C. Office of the Attorney General declined to comment.
Arabella and its funds have extensive ties to the Democratic Party. Any legal blow to the groups, which hauled in a combined $3.3 billion in 2020 and 2021 to facilitate the creation of left-wing advocacy groups across the country, could transform left-wing political spending just months before a presidential election year. Arabella Advisors fired its CEO in July and more than 30 employees in May.
4- Finally, we are getting the wall finished!
All of a sudden when the rich, elite leftists still living in our once great cities, are inconvenienced by their political polices, DEMOCRATS WANT TO BUILD A WALL!
The internal Democrat polling must be very bad for Biden to flip flop this shockingly on building a wall. They are waiving 26, (twenty six), leftist environmental regulation to build a 20 mile wall they hated the idea of up until Wednesday night.
President Trump has said he awaits his apology from Biden. "So interesting to watch Crooked Joe Biden break every environmental law in the book to prove that I was right when I built 560 miles (they incorrectly state 450 in story!) of brand new, beautiful border wall," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Biden administration reverses course, clears way for new border wall by waiving environmental laws
QUOTE: The Biden administration has paved the way for the construction of a new wall along the southern border in Texas by waiving more than a dozen federal laws in a stark reversal of its previous stance on the physical barrier.
The Department of Homeland Security announced the plan to bypass long drawn-out environmental reviews in order to expedite border wall construction in Starr County, TX as the administration struggles to handle an ongoing migrant crisis that has strained local and federal resources. The area where construction is planned has seen "high illegal entry," according to authorities.
"There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas," Alejandro Mayorkas, the DHS secretary, said in a notice posted on the US Federal Registry.
The Democratic administration is picking up where former President Donald Trump left off.
One of Trump's biggest campaign promises was to build a wall along the US-Mexico border and his administration constructed about 450 miles of border barriers between 2017 and January 2021.
DHS's decision to build more walls contradicts Biden's previous promise to end the construction.
"Building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution," Biden said in a proclamation to stop the building on Jan. 20, 2021.
US Customs and Border Protection argued that the planned construction, which could add up to 20 miles of barriers to the existing wall in the area, does not violate Biden's proclamation.
5- Yep, we are all sick of the whole shebang but, when you get into policy issues, the conservative position is polling better.
Who knows what it will be like in a year but for now the trend is away from the insane.
Neither Party Well-Liked, but GOP Holds Advantage on Issues
QUOTE: The two major political parties remain unpopular in the U.S., with 56% of Americans viewing the Republican Party unfavorably and 58% saying the same of the Democratic Party.
Although both parties are about equally disliked, the public chooses the Republican Party over the Democratic Party by healthy margins when asked which will better safeguard the nation's prosperity and security.
• Fifty-three percent of Americans believe the Republican Party will do a better job of keeping the country prosperous over the next few years, whereas 39% choose the Democratic Party.
• A slightly larger majority, 57%, have greater faith in the Republican Party to protect the country from international terrorism and military threats, while 35% favor the Democrats.
Republicans' 14-percentage-point lead in public preferences for keeping the country prosperous is up from a 10-point margin last year and is its widest advantage on this measure since mid-1991.
Americans currently see Republicans as the party better equipped to manage these challenges, which could enhance Republicans' position in promoting their agenda in Washington in the near term.
6- We love reading Don Surber's take on things. Today he is enjoying the media implosion. Some how we don't think you will read about this in the Fake News.
Popcorn or toasted marshmallows?
QUOTE: Watching the American news media collapse is entertaining.
Axios reported, "Traffic referrals to the top global news sites from Meta's Facebook and X, formerly Twitter, has collapsed over the past year, according to data from Similarweb.
"Why it matters: Website business models that depended on clicks from social media are now broken."
Sit back and enjoy the show. We are watching the empires built on lies melting like that cake in the dark in MacArthur Park. All the sweet, green icing flowing down. Tut-tut-tut. News media outlets will never have that recipe again.
Axios reported clicks from Facebook and Twitter declined from 170 million in August 2020 to 44 million this August. The days when Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey had the power to rule the online world disappeared. Poof. Gone.
Four years ago, Axios reported, "Top Republicans are privately worried about a new threat to President Trump's campaign: the possibility of Facebook pulling a Twitter and banning political ads.
"Why it matters: Facebook says it won't, but future regulatory pressure could change that. If Facebook were to ban — or even limit — ads, it could upend Trump's fundraising and re-election plan, GOP officials tell Axios. "Trump relies heavily — much more so than Democrats — on targeted Facebook ads to shape views and raise money."
And Zuckerberg did just that. If the Twitter Files that Elon Musk released are any indication the federal government replaced that money in the name of stopping disinformation and misinformation (aka the truth) from spreading.
Among the things Facebook and Twitter censored were HCQ and Ivermectin being helpful in combatting covid. Thousands of people died because of this.
The diabolical duo also blocked the New York Post from promoting its expose on Hunter's laptop. None of the rest of the media stood up against this state-sponsored censorship. Now they are losing 100 million or so clicks a month?
Hahaha!
7- Even if you have to force out a laugh because there is no Pelosi kick-out around, laughing is good for you. Read more about the art of Qijong at the link and then have a good laugh!
We need you to be strong and healthy to fight the battles! This may help you!
Why Forced Laughter Is So Good for You
QUOTE: There's a memorable scene in the Labrador season of Alone (the History Channel show on which competing survivalists are dropped off in the remote wilderness with bows and arrows and GoPros) where a guy named Benji walks out into the middle of a field and starts laughing like a maniac. He'd killed a beaver a couple days before and lived on his own in the upper reaches of the Canadian wilderness for more than three weeks, so on some level, this behavior seemed par for the course. But eventually, he cut off his chuckling and explained himself: he was practicing forced laughter, a therapy technique typical of the Chinese art of Qijong. He set off to build his shelter, skin hides and do other survivalist things, saying he felt refreshed and ready for the day.
Unlike Benji and his northerly paradise, the rest of us live and operate in proximity to other human beings. The idea of throwing our heads back and pretending to laugh sounds trivial, embarrassing. But if you can get past the initial self-judgment, the practice poses some real benefits. We explain.
Qijong programs that incorporate laughter are highly effective at boosting mood and cognitive function. A study of seniors at a long-term care institute in northern Taiwan found that participants who attended "laughing qijong" twice a week for just a month exhibited increased "Mini-Mental State Examination scores" and decreased "Geriatric Depression Scale scores."
Laughter therapy needs more research, but anything that (a) releases endorphins, (b) jumpstarts lymphatic drainage and (c) puts a clamp on cortisol levels is worth a try. Whether you choose to practice qijong or not, plug some laughter into your mornings. Just make sure to forewarn your housemates if you don't have an endless wilderness nearby.
