Dear Patriot,
These days, waking up to read the news has become like Christmas morning. The Dems are between a big rock and very hard spaces. It is rather fun to watch them try to figure out how they can fool the American voter again.
This was the week that Trump was going to be sentenced to jail for years or put under house arrest.
But, it has turned into the week where the Dems got a lecture from a Hollywood actor. This great political mind admitted they all knew Biden was not capable of being the Leader of the Free World and had to go. They did not care about Biden’s lacking mental capacity until all the polls showed Trump winning bigly.
The novelty of the Democrats in massive disarray of their own making is entertaining. But, it is not good for the country or the world. We need Trump in office.
Next week will be a wild one with the RNC Convention and the announcement of Veep on the Trump ticket.
We will be here all week to share and comment on the shenanigans.

Trump's Pro-Growth, 'America First' Platform
QUOTE: Forget the Biden circus — the real headline story today is a pro-growth, “America First” Trump platform a week ahead of the Milwaukee convention.
At the moment, the major press frenzy is whether President Biden is going to drop out of the race. For what it’s worth, I don’t think he will.
All this Biden speculation, though, should not be permitted to obscure the fact that the Republican National Committee, a week ahead of the Milwaukee convention, has just adopted and released President Trump’s 2024 Republican Party platform.
This is today’s real headline story. The platform carries the same kind of message that Trump has been successfully talking about for the last several years.
It’s pro-growth and pro-opportunity, aims to close the southern border and restore an “America First” standing in the world. Peace through strength.
The document is short, pithy, and right to the point.
Today, amid 20 percent Bidenflation, we have an affordability crisis with falling real wages and high mortgage and credit card borrowing costs, the nationwide crime and public safety ravages of Mr. Biden’s illegal immigration catastrophe, and raging fires overseas — most folks know that they were better off four or five years ago.
That’s Trump’s message. Success is the best uniter.
2- This may be a real boost for election integrity in an election compromised state. The Georgia Election Board voted 3-1 to adopt rule to require ballots be hand counted at the precinct level by poll officers each day of voting to ensure the totals match with the machines.
Georgia State Election Board endorses rule on hand-counting vote totals each voting day to check against machines
QUOTE: Georgia's State Election Board voted on Tuesday to endorse three publicly-submitted rules for formalized rulemaking, including one that would require a hand count at the end of voting days to verify the vote totals given by machines.
Two other rules also passed, one concerning steps local election boards may take before certifying election results and another requiring public reconciliation reports for vote totals.
3- Remember when the Religion of Climate Change experts tried to scare us into thinking that all the islands were going to disappear when the oceans rose?
Mark that off your list of things to worry about!
The Vanishing Islands That Failed to Vanish
QUOTE: Low-lying tropical island nations were expected to be early victims of rising seas. But research tells a surprising story: Many islands are stable. Some have even grown.
Raymond Zhong, a climate reporter, and Jason Gulley, a photographer, spent two weeks in the Maldives accompanying scientists who study how islands are changing and talking to officials about how communities are responding. Graphics byJonathan Corum.
The very existence of low-slung tropical islands seems improbable, a glitch. A nearly seamless meeting of land and sea, peeking up like an illusion above the violent oceanic expanse, they are among the most marginal environments humans have ever called home.
And indeed, when the world began paying attention to global warming decades ago, these islands, which form atop coral reefs in clusters called atolls, were quickly identified as some of the first places climate change might ravage in their entirety. As the ice caps melted and the seas crept higher, these accidents of geologic history were bound to be corrected and the tiny islands returned to watery oblivion, probably in this century.
Then, not very long ago, researchers began sifting through aerial images and found something startling. They looked at a couple dozen islands first, then several hundred, and by now close to 1,000. They found that over the past few decades, the islands’ edges had wobbled this way and that, eroding here, building there. By and large, though, their area hadn’t shrunk. In some cases, it was the opposite: They grew. The seas rose, and the islands expanded with them.
Scientists have come to understand some but not all of the reasons for this.

Huge update in case of Arizona rancher who shot and killed Mexican migrant on his land after original jury failed to reach verdict
QUOTE: The Arizona rancher who became the face of the border crisis when he was charged with killing a migrant on his land will not face trial again, a judge has ruled.
George Alan Kelly, 75, was charged with the killing of Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea, a Mexican national found dead on Kelly's sprawling ranch in January 2023.
The case led to a mistrial in April when jurors failed to reach a verdict after one hold-out refused to acquit.
Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge Thomas Fink denied the prosecution's request to keep the case open on the possibility that new witnesses could appear on Tuesday.
'The interests of justice are not advanced where the only thing to be accomplished by a dismissal without prejudice, where there is not possibility that a re-trial will occur, is the harassment of the Defendant,' Fink said in a decision obtained by KGUN 9.
5- There is a world where we, at last, may cure cancer.
Researchers Find a Precise Way to Kill Cancer Cells
QUOTE: Cancer treatments that aim to destroy deadly cells often cause damage and pain as they wreak havoc on neighboring cells and tissues. However, scientists have discovered a new method of targeting harmful cells using light for precise destruction, according to a recent study.
“Usually treatments for cancer use pharmacological induction to kill the cells, but those chemicals tend to diffuse throughout the tissues and it’s hard to contain to a precise location,” said University of Illinois–Urbana-Champaign biochemistry professor and study leader Kai Zhang in a press release. “You get a lot of unwanted effects.”
The researchers deploy optogenetics, an approach that uses optical systems to control cell functions, to focus a light beam on a target smaller than one cell.
“That is how we can use light to very precisely target a cell and turn on its death pathway,” Mr. Zhang said in the press release.
In addition to killing the cancer cell, another intended outcome is to trigger the immune system to respond to the light. Mr. Zhang said that the ruptured cells release cytokines, a type of small protein, attracting white blood cells that help the immune system fight infection. By killing cancer cells, the researchers hope to train T-cell white blood cells to recognize and attack the cancer, Mr. Zhang said.
6- It is wonderful to see this little trend gain some traction in Virginia. We pray the trend for true education and care of children becomes a big deal too.
Governor Glenn Youngkin Issues Executive Order Establishing Cell Phone-Free Education in Virginia’s K-12 Public Schools
QUOTE: Given the increasing evidence of the impact cell phone and social media usage has on education and youth mental health, Governor Glenn Youngkin today issued Executive Order 33, which directs the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) to draft guidance for public school divisions to adopt local policies and procedures establishing cell phone-free education.
The EO directs VDOE to initiate a robust public engagement effort with parents, students, teachers, local school leaders and other stakeholders to develop collaboratively policies and procedures that establish the age-appropriate restriction or elimination of cell phone use during instructional time, as well as to establish protocols allowing parents to contact their children in emergency and other important situations.
In addition, the Governor announced today that the VDOE and the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services (DBDHS) will make a combined $500,000 available from existing funds to support implementation of this mental health and safety initiative.
“This essential action will promote a healthier and more focused educational environment where every child is free to learn. Creating cell phone and social media-free educational environments in Virginia’s K-12 education system will benefit students, parents, and educators,” said Governor Glenn Youngkin.
Implementing cell phone-free education in Virginia’s K-12 public schools is critical, especially given youth chronic health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, that are driven in part by extensive social media and cell phone use.
7- A historical reminder that people have always had to deal with nuts! Especially nuts who were called “experts”.
Remember when the French Revolution blew up the clock and the calendar because science?
QUOTE: After the French revolutionaries beheaded their king, they had a bright idea: Let's make the day 10 hours long! This is not a joke: Left-wing "experts" actually changed the length of minutes, hours, and weeks in the name of science.
This is the story of that disaster.
The French revolutionaries adopted a new calendar for three reasons:
• To eliminate religious consciousness from French society;
• To make time more “rational”;
• To announce the birth of an egalitarian era.
In their zeal, they forgot an important factor: human nature.
This is a story of political arrogance. The revolutionaries overestimated science's power and underestimated religion's stickiness. In their new utopia, one hour equaled 100 minutes, and one minute equaled 100 seconds. The new year shifted from January 1 to September 22. A radical attempt to redefine time itself.
Rutgers sociologist Eviatar Zerubavel notes that the 10-day week was meant to disrupt the “traditional, sacred seven-day cycle.” The purpose was to disorient people and make them lose track of “Sunday.”
That is, the day for going to church and having a weekly sitdown with the divine. The French Revolutionary calendar was designed by the top experts of the day. The chief designer was C.G. Romme, a physics professor, and mathematicians and astronomers chipped in. In the minds of these experts, tradition/old habits didn’t matter. The designers answered “solely to the principles of Reason and Science.”
“The Revolutionary Calendar was introduced in an age which advocated the total obliteration of the old order in the name of progress and modernity,” Zerubavel observes. “The beginning of the new Republican Era marked the total discontinuity between past and present.” Ring a bell?
Every calendar has “critical dates,” which are imbued with symbolic importance. The revolutionaries changed the first day of the year from January 1 to September 22 — the day of the “foundation of the French Republic.” Society was to spin not around religion but politics. Days that had a unique flavor due to their religious significance, like “the saints’ days, Sunday and the Church's religious holidays,” were abolished. Each day became mathematically and symbolically alike. Differences were to be erased — whether among people or on the calendar.
By adopting calendrical rhythms alien to the rest of the world, the French created artificial barriers to communication, understanding, and ultimately, trade.
How would you fix delivery schedules with a country whose calendar is untranslatable into yours? Imagine you're a Frenchman in 1793. The revolutionaries have not just beheaded the king and slaughtered their own but have also made the week 10 days long. The day is now 10 hours, not 24, and your old clocks — and instincts — need to be thrown out.
The people hated the new calendar. It made them work for nine days straight instead of six, and it was confusing. Special clocks were made to translate the French Revolutionary calendar into the Gregorian calendar and back. People’s age-long habits were redesigned without their consent.
Stalin imposed a new calendar, too. The week was cut to five days to eliminate the holiday of Sunday. Days were assigned colors, and workers were given colors. When it was your colored day, you took a day off. Families and friends had different colors, so they never hung out.
