Dear Patriot,
The last two days have been good ones for the justice system and for The Swamp.
The House Continuing Resolution that suddenly popped up was designed to ruin Trump’s ability to enact his agenda. It was infuriating to see House Republicans participating in this farce.
The newly formed DOGE Team sprang into action. Vivek Ramaswamy read the 1540 page bill and reported on X, about the outrageous content that was hours from being passed.
Elon Musk tweeted over 100 times with more information about the process and the content. American’s were given information that in the past has been denied to them about the government budget process.
President Trump took a firm stand against it and Senator Vance was dispatched to Congress to meet face to face with Representatives.
By late Wednesday evening, the horrible mess of a bill was pulled.
This seems like a great system. We pray it is repeated over and over until Vivek and Elon no longer have anything to cut.
We have spent decades now being promised that these elected people would not do what they just about did ….again. We are not putting up with this behavior again.
Americans, informed and armed with facts, blew up the lines going into Congress, to remind those people who they work for. Thank God we have support for this now from strong leaders.
We also view the decision on the Georgia lawfare against President Trump a win for the Rule of Law.

Sidney and staff,
I want to share my enjoyment over whomever wrote Monday’s message! It is humorous and fun to read! I am so happy to gloat with the Conservatives over Legacy News failures. How refreshing to see Trump DO something about his injustices. Of course, a bit of humor helps my mornings get started right!
I am proud of DTR and all the contributors.
Thank you!

2- As of this writing, it looks like we have a stalemate on the leaner version of the Continuing Resolution. There is a likihood that there will be a shut down. We agree with Speaket Gingrich that is is nothing to fear. The leftist media likes to hype a shutdown as the end of everything. But, outside of Washington, no one much cares of non-essential activity halts for a month.

Newt Gingrich: Republicans Should Not Be Afraid of Government Shutdown
QUOTE: Republicans should not be afraid of a government shutdown, and should reject the controversial 1,547-page spending deal released Tuesday — filled with pork and special giveaways — former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said.
“President Trump and Republicans should not be afraid of a government shutdown. The next election is two years away,” he began.
“We had two shutdowns in 1995 and became the first reelected house gop [sic] majority since 1928. It may take shock therapy for schumer [sic] and democrats [sic] to learn President Trump is serious about draining the swamp,” he added.
3- A large part of the massive and expensive leftist lawfare against President Trump and his supporters has fallen apart. The case in Fulton County Georgia is, for the most part, over. Fani Willis and her entire office have been disqualified from the case.
Fani Willis disqualified from Trump RICO case
QUOTE: A three-judge panel ruled 2–1 that a lower court had “erred by failing to disqualify DA Willis” after Trump and several co-defendants uncovered a previously undisclosed relationship Willis had with the case’s lead special prosecutor, Nathan Wade.
“The remedy crafted by the trial court to prevent an ongoing appearance of impropriety did nothing to address the appearance of impropriety that existed at times,” the panel wrote in a 31-page order.
At the lower court level, Judge Scott McAfee had considered Trump and his co-defendants’ request this year that Willis be disqualified and the case be tossed out entirely because of Willis’s romantic relationship with Wade, whom she hired in November 2021. McAfee decided, however, that Wade’s resignation from the case would resolve any conflict of interest concerns.
The appellate judges reversed this decision, saying Willis and her office could no longer oversee the indictment but that the charges could still stand, a move that plunges the already-struggling case deeper into a state of uncertainty.
Legal experts, including conservative Georgia-based lawyer Phil Holloway, have told the Washington Examiner that Willis’s disqualification would flip the case into the hands of a state government agency, which would then decide whether to move the case to another prosecutor’s office. It is highly likely, Holloway said, that the case could hit a dead end at that stage.
The near-fatal blow to Willis’s indictment is the latest embarrassing defeat for prosecutors in Trump’s four criminal cases.
4- Another Soros-funded prosecutor has a bad day.
Disgraced Soros prosecutor just lost her law license
QUOTE: Who could forget one of the most infamous Soros-backed prosecutors, Kim Foxx? She’s the shameless Chicagoland shill who went all out trying to cover up for D-lister and hoax artist Jussie Smollett and went down the tubes with the former “Empire” actor. Ironically, in the end, both she and Jussie lost everything.
Foxx, who decided not to run for another term after her Soros-style, soft-on-crime policies were put on full blast, quietly slithered off into the sunset. But don’t worry—karma didn’t let her escape that easily. And we couldn’t wait to tell you about it.
Turns out, Kim Foxx is just as lazy and disorganized as we thought. She couldn’t even manage to do the absolute bare minimum to keep her law license active. And thanks to her unprofessional neglect, her law license got suspended.
That’s right, Foxx is no longer authorized to practice law. What a perfect ending to her pathetic Soros-funded career.
Yes, folks, sometimes, justice really does have a sense of humor.
Of course, Foxx is calling the loss of her license a “clerical error.” These Dems are absolutely incapable of taking responsibility for anything. It’s always somebody else’s fault. We see this same pathetic theme play out, time and time again.
5- Woke is dying. The University of Michigan fires their DEI officer.
University of Michigan fires top DEI officer, cites poor judgment
QUOTE: University of Michigan administrators have fired a top diversity, equity and inclusion officer for actions that represented "extremely poor" judgment, a UM representative confirmed.
Rachel Dawson, the former director of the university's Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives, was reported to have made antisemitic comments in a conversation at a conference in March, according to the New York Times. Dawson was accused of saying the university was “controlled by wealthy Jews,” according to documents obtained by the newspaper through a Freedom of Information Act request.
Dawson was also accused of saying Jewish students were “wealthy and privileged” and not in need of her office’s diversity services and that “Jewish people have no genetic DNA that would connect them to the land of Israel,” according to the documents, which were part of a complaint from the Anti-Defamation League of Michigan.
"Ms. Dawson was fired by the Provost because her behavior as a university representative at a conference and during an on-campus protest was inconsistent with her job responsibilities, including leading a multicultural office charged with supporting all students, and represented extremely poor judgment," wrote Kay Jarvis, UM's director of public affairs, in an email.
6- This is an old idea. Let us see if Trump can accomplish it. Maybe he needs to assign this one to Elon!
Trump Looking into Privatizing U.S. Postal Service
QUOTE: President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly considering privatizing the United States Postal Service (USPS), according to a report from the Washington Post.
Three people with knowledge of the matter told the outlet that Trump had been talking with Howard Lutnick, who Trump picked to serve as the Commerce Secretary, about carrying out an “overhaul” of the U.S. Postal Service.
While Trump’s plans regarding how he plans to overhaul the Postal Service were not “immediately clear,” one of the sources told the outlet that Trump had met with “a group of transition officials” and had requested their input on “privatizing the agency.”

Canada pledges beefed-up border, immigration restrictions to appease Trump
QUOTE: Four Canadian ministers publicly unveiled on Tuesday a border security plan they had privately presented to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's incoming administration, with an emphasis on surveillance, intelligence and technology.
Canadian ministers had an "encouraging" meeting with Trump's border czar Tom Homan, Public Safety, Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc told reporters.
"I went through with Mr. Homan the information that we're sharing with you today... I'm encouraged by that conversation and by conversations I've had with the incoming Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick," LeBlanc said.
LeBlanc and his colleagues announced Tuesday a plan to beef up the U.S.-Canada border with helicopters, drones, surveillance towers and sniffer dogs, as well as a "joint strike force" to target transnational organized crime.
The embattled minority government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says it will invest C$1.3 billion ($909 million) toward border security over six years. The plan focuses on fentanyl, irregular migration and organized crime.
Canada has been under pressure to beef up its border with the U.S. since Trump threatened Canada and Mexico with sweeping 25% tariffs if they did not stem the movement of migrants and drugs into the United States.
8- Funny how motivated Mexico suddenly is to do the right thing.
Mexico has agreed to accept their citizens when the US deports them.
Mexico’s Leftist Prez Bends the Knee, Will Accept Mexicans Deported by Trump.
QUOTE: Far-left President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico says her country will accept Mexican nationals deported from the United States under incoming President Donald J. Trump. The concession is a significant win for Trump and his border czar, Tom Homan, who plan to initiate one of the largest immigrant enforcement operations since President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1954.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Mexico’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said the Sheinbaum government “is prepared to work in coordination with federal, state, and local authorities in the face of possible mass deportations.” The ministry added: “We reaffirm the responsibility and obligation of the Mexican State to our fellow citizens so that they can have the confidence that they will be received in the manner they deserve in the face of present and future challenges.”
The move comes as President-elect Trump is threatening to enact economically crippling tariffs on imports to the U.S. from Mexico and Canada unless the two countries increase security at the U.S. southern and northern borders.
9- Conservative policies work every time they're tried, if not messed with by leftists.

DeSantis Gloats: Florida Economy Grows Faster amid Migrant Crackdown
QUOTE: Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is blasting the establishment media for claiming that recent migrant crackdowns would hurt the Sunshine State’s economy.
“FL’s best-in-the-nation legislation combatting illegal immigration generated the typical array of false media narratives,” DeSantis wrote on X. “That such narratives blew up shows that good policy pays dividends.”
“The goal needs to be disfavoring illegal immigration rather than … incentivizing more illegal immigration,” he said.
This week the economic data revealed that Florida’s economy grew by 3.2 percent in its gross domestic product from Q1 2024 to Q2 2024 and the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Florida added 133,000 jobs from October of last year to this year, Fox News reported.
On Tuesday, DeSantis contrasted that economic growth with reports by the mainstream media that the state’s move to tighten migrant job rules would end up hurting the state’s economy.
In May, the Florida legislature passed a bill requiring mandatory E-Verify rules on hiring, a ban on local governments issuing IDs to migrants, a rule to suspend business licenses for companies that hire illegal migrants, funding to bus illegals to other states, and a rule requiring hospitals to report the number of illegal aliens they treat.
Many on the left said this package of rules would hurt Florida’s economy by chasing illegals out of the state. But, as DeSantis noted, it does not appear the new requirements had any negative impact at all.
In fact, the changes have been so successful that Forbes proclaimed Florida’s policies as a “blueprint” for Trump to follow nationally.
The magazine noted that left-wing critics claimed the E-Verify rules, and other policies in the new law, would damage Florida’s economy, but went on to say those criticisms have been wrong.

P.S. It is laughable that it apparently took 16 writers to compile this list. Wow….
Mediaite’s 75 Most Influential in News Media 2024

QUOTE: It’s that time of year again — when media folks sneak down the proverbial stairs, alert with anticipation, to try and peek under the metaphorical Christmas tree to see what Mediaite’s Most Influential List for 2024 has for them. Who’s up, who’s down, who’s in and who’s out? Dial up your publicist because the moment of truth is here.
If the century’s-worth of news and spectacle that were crammed into 2024 can be summed up at all, it is that this was the year of the outsider, the disruptor. That theme goes hand-in-hand with the year’s top story, a presidential race more explosive than Christmas at Nakatomi Plaza.
The defining story of 2024 was – what else – Donald Trump’s stunning return from the political dead. Just a few years ago he was deemed finished. Having left the White House in disgrace, his attempt to overturn the election he lost to Biden culminating in a deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol that had even diehard supporters on Fox News declaring his political career over and his legacy tarnished.
The fate of the news media was, as always, intertwined with Trump. Many have dubbed this race the podcast election, and they would be right. Independent media surged, with millions of Americans for a variety of reasons opting to tune into personalities on YouTube over segments on cable news.
Podcasters and non-traditional media figures made their mark, as Trump and Harris both tried to bypass the mainstream media filter to find voters “where they are.” There are more of these independent voices on the list than ever before.
Today, Mediaite recognizes the 75 biggest movers and shakers in media this year.
