July 11, 2025
Dear Patriot,
This was a heck of a week. We ask that you continue to keep flood victims in your prayers.
Through it all, there is good news to celebrate.
1- Hidden Gems! Take a moment to scan through some of the good things deep inside the Big Beautiful Bill.
The Biggest Conservative Victory in 30 Years
QUOTE: Everyone knows that the "big, beautiful" tax bill signed into law on the Fourth of July lowers tax burdens for families and businesses. It also averts a $4 trillion tax increase starting next year. That's enough reason to celebrate heartily.
But what isn't well known is that this new law doesn't just change tax policy. It includes dozens of other long-sought policy goals -- what I call "hidden gems.”
Here is a list of some of the major policy victories:
-The law is the most aggressive federal advancement of school choice by allowing low-income parents to direct education dollars to private, charter, or Catholic schools that are better for their kids.
-The law also expands eligibility for personalized medical savings accounts instead of conventional insurance. This allows workers to control their health care dollars.
-The law increases mining and drilling on federal lands to increase access to America's natural resource supplies, to end our dependence on the Middle East, China, or Russia.
-The law formally ends the absurd Biden student loan forgiveness program, which forced taxpayers to swallow the costs of unpaid college loans.
-The law repeals the electric vehicle mandate and phases out the Green New Deal, thus allowing Americans to purchase any car they want.
-The law expands opportunity zones and extends tax benefits for investing in inner cities and economically depressed rural areas. (I thought Democrats cared about poor communities!)
-The law increases the tax to 8% on the nearly trillion dollars of bloated university endowments — money that was never taxed. Is there a better way to tax the privileged rich?-The law strengthens work requirements for Medicaid and food stamp recipients. History shows that work requirements end welfare dependency.
-The new law authorizes the sale of expanded spectrum to strengthen rural broadband, secure America's technological dominance, and reduce the national debt by nearly $100 billion.
There's much more to shout about, but these are some of the greatest hits in a big and beautiful bill that advances America's freedom and prosperity. Expect the economy to grow at over 3% in the years ahead, which will lighten the burden of our national debt. Is it the most significant consecutive victory in modern times? It may just be.
2- We have not been really safe in many aspects of our lives because of socialist policies that prioritize hiring less qualified people.
Secretary Duffy is not messing around with safety.
Transportation Sec. Sean Duffy Drops All DEI, Environmental Justice Requirements from Grants
QUOTE: The Trump administration will not enforce any Biden-era diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) or “Green New Scam” requirements on Department of Transportation (DOT) grant recipients, Sec. Sean Duffy announced Wednesday.
After blasting the previous administration last month for leaving a massive backlog of DEI-filled grant projects for his agency to take care of, Duffy said this week, “It’s a new day in America, where common sense is in the driver’s seat.”
“Our roads, rails, skies, and waters will be safer for it. The public wants to see their hard-earned dollars going towards safety and efficiency standards – not woke DEI or American Energy-killing ideas,” the secretary continued in a statement.
Citing several of President Donald Trump’s executive orders in a letter to all recipients of DOT funding, Duffy said those actions direct federal agencies to “identify and eliminate” any policies or funding agreements related “in any way to climate change, ‘greenhouse gas’ emissions, racial equity, gender identity, ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ goals, environmental justice,” and former President Joe Biden’s Justice 40 Initiative.
While DOT pushed such policies “between noon on January 20, 2021 and noon on January 20, 2025,” the secretary clarified that his department “will no longer enforce these policies, or any other requirements incorporated into its Federal financial assistance agreements that are inconsistent with the policy objectives of this Administration and current DOT leadership.”
Duffy was previously criticized in the media for allegedly “delaying DOT projects” — though Biden and former DOT Sec. Pete Buttigieg left an “unprecedented” 3,200 grants behind for him to deal with, he told Breitbart News in June. Despite the staggering number of grants to sift through, the department had already cleared 1,065 grants, worth roughly $10 billion, since the Trump administration took over in January.
3- This is a great example of how regular people can alert the Trump Administration and stop bad things. A massive grass roots campaign to inform the Secretary of Agriculture, has stopped infected cattle from entering the US food supply. This campaign was led by a great, small American company, Meriwether Farms.

US again halts cattle imports from Mexico over flesh-eating screwworms
QUOTE: The flesh-eating livestock pest New World screwworm has advanced closer to the U.S. border with Mexico, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said, prompting Washington to block imports of Mexican cattle just days after it allowed them to resume at a port of entry in Arizona.
Screwworms are parasitic flies whose females lay eggs in wounds on warm-blooded animals, usually livestock and wild animals. Once the eggs hatch, hundreds of screwworm larvae use their sharp mouths to burrow through living flesh, eventually killing their host if left untreated.
Mexico reported screwworms about 370 miles south of the U.S. border in Ixhuatlan de Madero, Veracruz, on Tuesday, the USDA said in a statement late on Wednesday. The agency ordered the closure of livestock trade through southern ports of entry effective immediately.
"Closing the border isn't just justified, it's essential," said Bill Bullard, CEO of U.S. cattle producers' group R-CALF USA.
Screwworms were eradicated from the United States in the 1960s when researchers released sterilized male screwworm flies that mate with wild female screwworms to produce infertile eggs.
4- America has all the resources it needs to be independent and prosperous. The obstacle is keeping unelected bureaucrats out of the way.
This week, the first mine in the USA in 70 years, will open. The Ramaco Brook Mine contains 1.7 MILLION tons of rare earth oxides.
Developing American rare earth minerals STRENGTHENS our energy security and is one more thing we do not need from China.
Chris Wright to break ground on first US rare earth mine in 70 years
QUOTE: Energy Secretary Chris Wright will attend the opening of the first rare earth mine in the United States in more than 70 years.
Taking place on July 11 at Ramaco’s iCAM Technology Center in Ranchester, Wyoming, the event celebrating the Brook Mine Carbon Ore Rare Earth project will host speakers from the national and state levels, according to a press release.
“This is more than a ribbon cutting — it’s a declaration of America’s resolve to reclaim its leadership in critical minerals and energy independence,” Ramaco Resources Chairman and CEO Randall W. Atkins said. “We are proud that Ramaco will be developing the first new mine to lead the United States in creating a viable domestic supply line of strategic rare earths and critical minerals.”
The Brook Mine project, first submitted its permit application to mine in 2014, according to Global Energy Monitor.
After overcoming many obstacles, the project is a milestone because of its potential to help reduce American reliance on foreign sources of critical minerals. The U.S. uses these minerals for defense, technology, and clean energy, according to the press release.
The largest supplier of U.S. rare earth minerals is China, which made up 70% of U.S. rare earth imports between 2020 and 2023. The U.S. also receives rare earth imports from Malaysia, Japan, and Estonia, according to Statista. China temporarily suspended the export of several kinds of rare earth minerals to the U.S. in April following President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Chinese imports.
5- We mentioned this on Wednesday but it is worth celebrating again. We love it when “the experts” are proven wrong!
BOMBSHELL JOBS REPORT: American-Born Workers Gain 2 Million Jobs Since January — Foreign-Born Workers Lose Over Half a Million
QUOTE: The latest jobs report under the Trump administration reveals a stunning turnaround: American-born workers have gained more than 2 million jobs since January, while foreign-born workers — including potentially illegal immigrants — have lost over half a million.
According to the June report released by the U.S. Department of Labor, American-born workers have gained a stunning 2,056,000 jobs, while foreign-born workers have lost a jaw-dropping 543,000 jobs.
The data comes from the Household Survey, a lesser-covered but critical portion of the monthly Employment Situation report. While total job gains in June were modest at 147,000, the real story lies in the composition of those gains—and who’s finally being prioritized again.
Under Biden’s globalist agenda, the U.S. saw a surge in jobs going to foreign-born workers—many of whom entered the country under lax immigration enforcement or work visa expansions. But under the second Trump administration, the script has flipped.
6- The good news is that each week thieves, rapists, murderers, and child predators are plucked out of our neighborhoods.
Pray for all of our law enforcement, particularly ICE, as they deal with, not only violent illegal criminals, but also violent Democrats trying to stop them.
These Are Some of the Killers and Predators ICE Has Been Arresting
QUOTE: U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is continuing to detain serious criminal illegal aliens, announcing on July 8 the apprehension of rapists, child molesters, and other violent criminals as Democrats and far-left agitators escalate their pro-illegal immigrant activities.
Recent arrests include a Brazilian national with convictions for child molestation and sexual assault in Providence, Rhode Island, and a Guatemalan national convicted of rape in Suffolk County, New York. A Mexican national, was arrested for prior convictions of sexual conduct against a child in Kings County, New York, while another from Mexico, was convicted of manslaughter in the Bronx.
A Jamaican national, is another convicted killer, with vehicular homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon among the 22 criminal arrests and 12 criminal convictions he has acquired during his time in the U.S.
Additional arrests include migrants such as a Mexican national with convictions for aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a child, and another from El Salvador, who has 21 criminal arrests and multiple convictions in Loudoun County, Virginia. A Mexican citizen, was arrested for indecency with a child in Bexar County, Texas, and a Guatemalan national, has a conviction for lewd acts with a child under 14 in Los Angeles, California. Other notable arrests include a Guatemalan national with ten criminal convictions, and a Mexican citizen convicted of sexual abuse of a child in Salt Lake City, Utah. A Vietnamese national, was arrested for aggravated robbery and kidnapping with intent to commit sexual assault in Dallas County, Texas. A Bosnian citizen, was arrested in Boston for firearm offenses and assault.
ICE agents continue to target violent and serious criminal individuals for arrest and deportation despite protests and riots from the left against their actions
Nevertheless, leftists, including some Democratic members of Congress, have become increasingly militant in their opposition to ICE’s operations, with a law enforcement officer being shot in the neck after insurrectionists lured agents into a sniper ambush outside a Texas ICE facility over the Fourth of July weekend.
7- When you think about this, you have to wonder why we ever put up with it.
If you have a history of paying your rent on time, it is a good indicator you will pay a mortgage.
But this was never factored into qualifying for a home loan.
It is now. The Trump Team wants to help young Americans purchase homes.
Americans can now use rent payments to qualify for a mortgage, FHFA says
QUOTE: Americans can now use their rent payment history to help qualify for a mortgage, under a new directive announced Tuesday by Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte. The policy allows lenders to include rent payments in credit histories when evaluating applicants for home loans, a move aimed at expanding access to homeownership, particularly for younger Americans.
Pulte, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, credited Trump with the policy change and said it reflects the administration’s broader efforts to reduce barriers to owning a home. “This is a game changer for younger millennials and Gen Zers who are looking to purchase a home,” political strategist Alex Bruesewitz wrote on social media in response to the announcement.
Pulte, a descendant of a prominent homebuilding family, said the idea stems from Sen. Tim Scott, R-South Carolina, who introduced the Credit Score Competition Act. Scott is chair of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
8- This is a welcome end to one of life’s aggravations.
But, even more of TSA needs to be phased out.
TSA Phasing Out Shoe Removal at Airport Security
QUOTE: The Transportation Security Administration has begun phasing out shoe removal during regular security checks at a handful of airports, the agency told news outlets on Monday.
Fliers with TSA PreCheck were allowed to pass through checkpoints without removing their footwear, and now TSA is allowing the rule to lapse for standard screening lines, too. Passengers aged 75 and older or 12 and under have also been allowed to keep shoes on.
The change has already happened at Los Angeles International Airport and New York City's LaGuardia Airport.
