Good News Friday
August 02, 2024
Dear Patriot,
Congratulations fellow weird ones, we made it through another weird week on earth!
Yes, the leftist cabal of media and Democrats decided in lockstep to call Trump, Vance and everyone who is not a Democrat … weird. If you missed this little video of mind-numbed weirdo leftists telling us that Republicans with families are weird, watch it here.
We are proud to be a little weird to the truly odd, hysterical, creepy, genderfluid, crazy, grotesque members of the Democrat Party and their Drive- By PR company, formally called the news media.
Hang in there.
We give you some good news to think about over the weekend.
1- In every newsletter we suggest that you pray for divine intervention in matters both large and small. This may seem like a small matter to many but this little guy has had his life changed. Be sure to click the link to see photos of a happy daddy and a happy little boy. God bless them both.
Dad wins full custody of son, 4, after child’s mother allegedly tried to raise him non-binary
QUOTE: A California father said he’s been granted full custody of his 4-year-old son following a protracted legal battle with the boy’s mother — who allegedly forced the child to wear dresses and glitter because she wanted to raise him as non-binary.
Harrison Tinsley told “The Daily Signal Podcast” that he prevailed in the years-long court battle to win full physical custody of Sawyer, which the dad likened to “watching a miracle.”
“I know he’s a boy. He wants to be a boy. He adamantly expresses that,” Tinsley told host Virginia Allen. “If you say anything to the contrary, he gets very upset.”
Tinsley alleged that Sawyer’s mother — who he said identifies as a lesbian and non-binary herself — tried to push her gender ideology onto the child from the time he was a baby.
This included a cruel campaign of gaslighting like referring to Sawyer with they/them pronouns over his protestations, and forcing him to wear girls’ diapers, dresses and makeup, the dad claimed.
Tinsley calls Sawyer his “best friend” and “the most amazing, greatest blessing” of his life, and now that he’s back with his dad, he gets to focus on just being a regular kid, with no one trying to force him into an ideological box.“Kids don’t care about sex or identity or all of these fake weird concepts, they just care about having fun and spending time with their parents.”
2- The less “opinion” from these people, the better for the world!
CNN Shutters Opinion Section Amid Ongoing Restructure of Failing Network.
QUOTE: CNN will permanently shutter its opinion page as a result of CEO Mark Thompson enacting cost-saving measures as part of his restructuring of the news network. Key staff and writers were notified of the decision late Wednesday, according to reports.
The National Pulse reported in early July that CEO Mark Thompson announced a round of layoffs totaling around 100 employees. According to Thompson, the shakeup is part of a new plan to transition the cable news network into the digital age. However, it appears the move was a cost-saving measure after the network was revealed in late May to have scored its lowest ratings in three decades.
Lagging viewership and declining revenue forced Thompson to announce his intention to slash salaries for employees, even top network talent.
CNN has been plagued by complaints of bias, especially against former President Donald J. Trump. Last month, The National Pulse reported CNN media reporter Hadas Gold acknowledged the outlet failed to cover Joe Biden‘s cognitive decline because it feared it may help Trump’s election efforts.
It appears one of the last opinion pieces to be published by CNN was an op-ed by Veronica Goldman attacking The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. Goldman is a director with the far-left think tank Center for American Progress.
3- God’s creation has blessed the United States with an abundance of liquid gas. We have so much that when we are allowed to drill and export it will change world dynamics... in a good way. It all depends on the next election.
Geopolitical Implications of the Liquefied Natural Gas Permitting Pause
QUOTE: To promote domestic energy independence and decrease global reliance on Russian energy, the U.S. should ‘unpause’ its review of LNG export applications
On January 26, 2024, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced that it would be temporarily pausing its review of all liquified natural gas (LNG) export applications to non-free trade agreement countries. DOE justified the pause by claiming that it needed to review, and possibly alter, the process for analyzing economic and environmental impacts of all future projects seeking approval for exporting to European and Asian markets. After many months of uncertainty and unclear direction from DOE, on July 1, 2024, Judge James Cain of the Federal District Court in Louisiana issued a preliminary injunction against the temporary LNG permitting pause—upholding a stay request from 16 states. In the long term, however, the fate of the permitting pause may depend on the 2024 election results.
The U.S. has an abundance of LNG that has proven to be a vital tool in hard-power balancing against Russian influence in Europe. Expanded access to American natural gas will provide the U.S. and its allies with highly coveted energy independence, which is crucial to long-term American national security. Given the combined economic and geopolitical benefits of increasing LNG exportation, it remains in the best interest of the U.S. to resume LNG export permitting and expanding natural gas drilling operations—a primary reason why the recent preliminary injunction by Judge Cain against the LNG export permitting pause is so important.”
4- A win this week in Florida on censorship. Companies using exclusively biased news sources were being paid by Florida taxpayers to push that censorship on children in public school. Not any more. Actions like this often give officials in other states the gumption to attack this left wing indoctrination attempt.
Florida CFO Bans Left-Wing Censors From Agency Contracts
QUOTE: Florida’s chief financial officer took an axe to the censorship regime with a new directive barring state financial service contracts with media-monitoring services such as NewsGuard and the Global Disinformation Index.
Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis unveiled the proclamation Wednesday to ban agency partnerships with groups that deliver news credibility ratings that “are often rooted in political disagreements, subjective biases, and viewpoint discrimination, rather than factual inaccuracies, thereby amounting to censorship and blacklisting.” Such ratings have been weaponized to censor non-leftist content with misinformation labels for factual reporting on stories such as Hunter Biden’s laptop.
The directive prohibits the Department of Financial Services from brokering contracts with censorship services such as NewsGuard, one of the most popular web extensions that’s been deployed in K-12 classrooms across the country with the help of federal funding. NewsGuard rates the credibility of news organizations to redirect users to what the pro-censorship group’s administrators approve as credible. The censorship tool scored legacy outlets — such as Politico, NPR, and the New York Times — with perfect credibility, despite their history of false reporting on major news, including Spygate, unsubstantiated Brett Kavanaugh allegations, and Biden family corruption. Meanwhile, it gave other outlets which correctly reported on these stories failing grades.
The Global Disinformation Index (GDI) is another massive censorship operation with taxpayer funding that suggests to advertisers what websites are worth spending precious marketing dollars on. The index was exposed last year for keeping a list of blacklisted websites, which included The Federalist, The American Spectator, Newsmax, The American Conservative, One America News, The Blaze, The Daily Wire, RealClearPolitics, Reason, and the New York Post. GDI’s partners have included the U.S. State Department and previously the National Endowment for Democracy, the latter of which is almost entirely funded by the former. In June, the House Oversight Committee opened a probe into the censorship regime’s use of such “disinformation” services to crack down on dissident speech.
5- A victory for Texas and its fight to protect their citizens from the Federal government.
Texas Scores 'Major Victory' Over Biden Administration
QUOTE: The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in Texas’s favor, lifting an injunction that ordered the state to remove buoys it placed in the Rio Grande River to deter illegal border crossings.
The Biden Department of Justice brought a legal challenge against the Lone Star State last year for installing the buoys without federal authorization.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton celebrated the victory.
“The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in Texas's favor, finding that the federal district court abused its discretion when it ordered Texas to remove the buoys floating in the Rio Grande that prevent aliens from attempting a dangerous river crossing to enter America illegally,” he said on X. “The buoys can remain in the river. I will continue to defend Texas's right to protect its border from illegal immigration.”

6- Another win for Ken Paxton in Texas. We hope that Texans appreciate how hard this warrior fights for you.
Meta agrees to $1.4B settlement with Texas over biometric data collection
QUOTE: Meta — which owns and operates social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsAPP — has agreed to pay $1.4 billion to settle a lawsuit with Texas over biometric data collection, according to state Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Paxton, in a news release, said it’s the largest settlement ever obtained from an action brought by a single state and the largest privacy settlement an attorney general has ever obtained.
The lawsuit was announced in February 2022 and was over Meta's collection of biometric data, which Paxton said was illegal. Biometric data includes things like retina and iris scans as well as voice information culled from photos and videos. Paxton’s suit claimed Facebook collected this information from millions of Texans without their consent and in violation of state law.
“After vigorously pursuing justice for our citizens whose privacy rights were violated by Meta’s use of facial recognition software, I’m proud to announce that we have reached the largest settlement ever obtained from an action brought by a single State,” Paxton wrote. “This historic settlement demonstrates our commitment to standing up to the world’s biggest technology companies and holding them accountable for breaking the law and violating Texans’ privacy rights.”
7- Slowly we creep back to common sense at universities. Very slowly.
Auburn dissolves DEI office, moves staff to ‘new roles’
QUOTE: Auburn University will dissolve its Office of Inclusion and Diversity by Aug. 15, officials announced Monday.
Auburn is the fifth state college to close its diversity office after Gov. Kay Ivey signed a law banning DEI programs and the teaching of certain “divisive concepts” this spring. Colleges have until Oct. 1 to ensure they’re in compliance with the law.
Staff members will be reassigned to other departments and vacant roles, officials said.
Auburn recently reported the highest spending in the state, about $5.6 million, on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, according to a response to a 2022 legislative inquiry.
8- Hitting them where it hurts. It only took five years!
Professor Wins $2.4M Settlement After Criticizing DEI.
QUOTE: A professor from Bakersfield College has reached a $2.4 million settlement following a legal dispute concerning his questioning of grant funds used for social justice initiatives at the institution. Matthew Garrett, who was a tenured history professor at the California community college, will receive a total of $2,245,480 broken out in monthly payments over the next 20 years and an immediate lump sum of $154,520 as back pay and medical benefits, according to the settlement agreement dated July 10.
Garrett declined to discuss the specifics of the settlement but commented on the events leading up to it. “After five years of administrative misconduct, a decisive courtroom display exonerated me of all allegations and exposed that Kern Community College District engaged in flagrant retaliation for my questioning of partisan policies and wasteful expenditures,” he stated. Facing a likely adverse ruling and potential multimillion-dollar damages, the district opted for a settlement, he explained.
The conflict dates back to at least 2019, when Garrett defended free speech on campus and criticized grant funds earmarked for social justice agendas.
9- Our solders in the Navy who refused to be jabbed win a victory and will have their records corrected so they can continue their Navel careers without prejudice.
Navy to Expunge Records for SEALs, Sailors Who Refused COVID Vaccines
QUOTE: The U.S. Navy has agreed to correct the records of SEALs and sailors who declined to receive COVID-19 vaccines due to their religious beliefs, under a settlement approved by a federal court on July 24.
“Defendants agree to re-review the personnel records of all class members to ensure that the U.S. Navy has permanently removed records indicating administrative separation processing or proceedings, formal counseling, and non-judicial punishment actions taken against the class members solely on the basis of non-compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and adverse information related to non-compliance with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate,” the settlement agreement states.
The expungement of records must be completed within one year according to the agreement.
All Navy members who filed a religious request for an exemption from the Navy’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate and were actively serving as of March 28, 2022, are covered by the settlement. That includes people who rescinded their accommodation requests in order to leave the military. Some 4,339 individuals are affected by the settlement, according to court documents.
“This has been a long and difficult journey, but the Navy SEALs never gave up,” Danielle Runyan, senior counsel at the First Liberty Institute, said in a statement. “We are thrilled that those members of the Navy who were guided by their conscience and steadfast in their faith will not be penalized in their Navy careers.”
The Navy declined to comment on the settlement.
10- You will search long and hard for an opinion like this anywhere. Everywhere you look is in full-blown Kamala worship. That is why we wanted to share it. It is disgusting to watch the entire media make up lies so Kamala can appear to have substance. She has no substance. The left is lying to themselves and to their audience. The hurricane will pass. Hold on!
Hurricane Kamala: The Perfect Storm to Collapse The Democrats' Burning House
QUOTE: It’s easy to fall for the media’s uber-hype and begin to imagine the unthinkable -- that Kamala Harris can actually win. The opposite conclusion is accurate. She represents a perfect storm forming that will permanently collapse her party's burning house.
A happy set of circumstances brought us here.
The first was Joe Biden’s path to victory in 2020, which began in South Carolina during the Democratic primaries.
In a deal with Rep. James Clyburn, the necessary votes were delivered to Biden in exchange for appointing both a Black female vice president and Supreme Court justice.
Clyburn inflicted Kamala on the nation. Biden gladly accepted the bargain. She was someone who could not upstage him.
The animosity between Biden and Harris is famous. Jill despises Kamala for her attack on Biden during her brief appearance in the Democratic primary debates. Kamala was the first to withdraw, leaving in early December 2019 without a single delegate. She is voting booth poison and will destroy down-ticket races due to an inability to energize voters.
The second reason Kamala will never become president relates to Biden destroying her political future by appointing her his border czar, a scheme to sabotage her political future by making her responsible for the border he planned to erase.
Democrats are sleepwalking into November with their weakest candidate ever.
But wait, there’s more, much more. Democrats must first make it through their Chicago convention, beginning August 19. Why do crazed leftists focus their greatest ire on Democrats? Democrats departed Chicago in 1968 after 48 hours of rioting with 11 dead, and another 48 wounded by police bullets -- half the 100 civilian shootings during this year’s July 4 weekend. 2,150 were arrested.
Kamala is an opposition researcher's dream. An embarrassment of riches; the most overtly communist national candidate Democrats have ever run.
If you still think Kamala could win, visit her website. It’s as vapid and empty as she is, studiously devoid of policy positions. Her website from her last presidential quest was a progressive word salad, an appeal to the far left. Chicago’s 1968 riots led to a Republican victory. 2024 looks to repeat. Hurricane season began earlier this year than ever before.
11- We want to leave you this week with a story that is inspiring and beautiful. Please go to the link and view the many photographs and video of this extraordinary work of art. We so seldom see new sculpting like this. This work is an emotional reminder of the realities of war.
Sabin Howard Is Sculpting America’s Past to Preserve Its Future
QUOTE: As the sun dips below the horizon, its last rays illuminate the figure of a solemn, uniformed soldier as he kneels at the feet of his young daughter.
She hands him his helmet and they say their goodbyes for what could be the last time.
It’s a familiar but heart-wrenching scene for the thousands of Americans who have sent their loved ones off to war, unsure if they will ever return.
On Sept. 13 in Washington, a similar scene will be depicted with the unveiling of the National World War I Memorial, nearly a decade after its conceptualization. The monument will be unveiled at 7:19 p.m. as the sun sets during a candlelight vigil.
The relief sculpture, dubbed “A Soldier’s Journey,” follows the story of one American soldier as he leaves his family to join his brothers in arms on the front lines of “the war to end all wars” in Europe.
Resolute, the soldier leads the charge into battle, only to come face to face with the soul-crushing realities of war. Transformed, he returns home to his daughter and hands her his helmet once more, from which she divines the inevitability of another world war.
Master sculptor Sabin Howard, the artist behind the project, said he hopes the sculpture will bring people together in a time when public monuments have become a source of political tension and division.
“I wanted to make an art form that would be understandable by all, no matter what their socioeconomic level or education or beliefs,” he told The Epoch Times. “It’s a piece that really hearkens back to what the Renaissance art did, which is, it speaks about our potential, about what we can be, and in so doing, I think it’s a great unifier.”
