1- You may not have kept up with the details of the government’s case against Dr. Peter Navarro. On Tuesday he reported to prison.
On the way into incarceration he gave a brief press conference. He explains the entire effort of the Biden Regime to imprison him for a misdemeanor.
He served for four years as an advisor to President Trump, which is the real crime.
Please take the time to watch this important event. We are praying for Dr. Navarro and his family.
'They’ve come for me, they can come for you': Peter Navarro blasts Biden's DOJ for 'chilling effect' on Americans
QUOTE: Holding a press conference in Miami before reporting to prison, former Trump advisor Peter Navarro said the justice system in the US will "have done a crippling blow to the constitutional separation of powers and executive privilege."
Navarro also criticized the "emergence of lawfare and the partisan weaponization of our justice system, which we have seen done to this country with a vengeance since the coming of Donald John Trump as president."
"I am the first senior White House advisor in the history of our republic that has ever been charged with this alleged crime," Navarro said. Navarro was sentenced to four months in prison for contempt of Congress for not complying with the subpoena due to executive privilege.
"When I received that congressional subpoena…I had an honest belief that the privilege had been invoked," he told US District Judge Amit Mehta in the January sentencing hearing.
"I saw alleged because for hundreds of years this has not been a crime. And for 50 years, the Department of Justice has maintained the principle of absolute testimony immunity, and it was only with my case that somehow that has changed."
"And an executive privilege goes back to George Washington and his remarks to the Congress regarding the Jay Treaty and he said, very simply and clearly, succinctly, elegantly, that to write to the Congress he said, I cannot command you as members of Congress to come to me, you cannot command me to come to you."
Navarro noted that he would be the only one in that prison for a misdemeanor, "everyone else is in there for felonies."
"I will gather strength from this," he added.
Navarro said that his mission "is to defend the Constitution, separation of powers, and executive privilege."
During questions from reporters, Navarro said that he was "not nervous" to report to prison, but instead "afraid for this country because this, what they’re doing should have a chilling effect on every American regardless of their party."
"They’ve come for me, they can come for you."
The press conference comes as the Supreme Court denied Navarro’s bid to remain out of prison as his case moves through the appeals process.
PRAY for divine intervention. PRAY for all judges making hard decisions that they be wise and honest.
PRAY for those caught in the web of leftist lawfare. PRAY that more people will know the truth. SHARE the truth.
Hold Fast,
Defending The Republic
